MEAN WELL introduced the new series “SPV-1500”─1500W enclosed type switching power supply equipped with parallel function and programmable output voltage function. By adding 1~6VDC external control, the output voltage of SPV-1500 can be trimmed from 20% to 120% of the rated voltage, which beyond the limits of 70~100% rated voltage of RSP-1500 series. This function greatly increases the flexibility to end system users when operate the equipments with different output voltage requirement. In addition, to fulfill the demands of high power applications, SPV-1500 series equip with parallel function which can increase the output wattages up to 4500W.
SPV-1500 is implemented the innovative ZVS technology which makes the efficiency up to 90%. Featuring 8.3W/ in3 high power density, this new series provides full output wattage even at 100VAC input that is suitable for full load usage in countries equipped with utility input of 100VAC or 115VAC (ex: Japan, USA and Taiwan) .
Besides the standard function of remote sense, remote ON/OFF control, 12V/0.1A auxiliary output, alarm signal output and programmable output voltage , SPV-1500 series use “constant current limiting ” as the overload protection which enable the unit to power capacitive/inductive load and still provide full protection for customers’ system in the same time. All series comply with certificates per UL, CUL, TUV, CB and CE and can greatly guarantee a safe operation. Applications include LCD panel burn-in system, IC testing equipment, telecom/datacom, laser-carving machine, factory automation, battery charging… etc.
