MEAN WELL added a new 45W unit, PSD-45 series, into its DC/DC PCB type product line and enlarged the product offering of the low wattage D/D open frame switching power supply segment. Accompany with the existing PSD-05(5W) and PSD-15(15W) series, the PSD family now can fulfill most of the low power application for end systems. Because of the non-casing design, PSD-45 can maintain a lower cost and hence is suitable for economical installation inside the system enclosure. The 5”x3”(127mmx76mm) miniature design helps solve space problems and induces efficient space usage to reduce volume of the end system.
PSD-45 possesses up to 83% of operation efficiency and can be used under -10 ~ +60℃of ambient temperature by only free air convection. Featuring 2:1 wide DC input range, PSD-45 securely transfer a wide range of DC input voltage rating into a stable DC output. Other standard features include 1500VAC input/output isolation, potential meter for ±10% of Vo adjustment, CB/CE certificates and protections for short circuit, overload, over-voltage, and reverse polarity. Suitable applications for these small gadgets are industrial control, telecom, voltage-regulating, and vehicle/ship/back-up system that use batteries as the power source.
